Tournament Facility Information

  • The Edge (Home of TAV Houston)

    * PARKING – There is limited parking in front of the facility, and we usually have a full parking lot. Parking is NOT permitted in the strip mall parking lot that serves the veterinarian’s office, nails salon, Papa John’s and Tewbeleaux’s. YOUR CAR WILL BE TOWED IF YOU PARK IN THIS AREA. Please adhere to parking signs outside of our facility’s parking lot.  Parking IS permitted in the Christian Brother’s parking lot as well as the Kids R Kids parking area. There is also parking in the back of the facility.

    * ENTRY FEE – There is a $10 entry fee for all adults. Children from 6-17 and seniors over 60 are $5. 

    * WORK TEAMS – Coaches are expected to ref when assigned. Please bring a whistle. Check out with the tournament director before leaving the tournament to make sure your playing/officiating assignments are completed.

    * SEATING – Although we have bleachers, we encourage those who wish to bring their own seating (“camp chairs”) to do so, as there is limited space on the bleachers. 

    * FORMAT – Varies from tournament to tournament. Check the schedule online for complete details on AES.

    * CONCESSIONS – NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK allowed inside the building or on the sport court except water bottles for the players. We will have full concessions available throughout the tournament. TAILGATING is NOT allowed at our facility.  

    * PRO SHOP – We will be selling t-shirts and gear in front of our pro shop at the front entrance. Stop by to check out what we have to offer!

    * PLAYING SURFACES – Only players and coaches are permitted on the sport surfaces during tournaments. No cameras or recording equipment is allowed on sport court playing surfaces. This is a USAV safety rule and is also designed to keep our sport court surfaces in good condition. We have nets surrounding the playing surface, so this helps, but please remind your team.  We appreciate your cooperation in adhering to this safety rule by walking around the courts on the concrete instead of passing through the middle. NO BALL HANDLING OR HORSEPLAY in the hallways outsides of the courts!

    * CHECKOUT PROCEDURE – Please make sure you checkout with the tournament director before leaving the tournament for the day, just to be sure you are done playing or scoring.

    Spike Sport Classic Tournament Info:

    *Spectator fee of $10 for adults and $5 for children (12 and under) Cash or Zelle 713- 320-4614

    * Doors to the facilities will open by 7:15 am

    * Please check in and be there for the coach’s meeting @ 7:45 am 

    * First game starts at 8:00 A.M.

    * Warm-up: (2 – 3 – 3).

    * Five pools of four teams.

    * Pool Play match (2 out 3) and top two advances to single-elimination Play-Off Brackets.

    * Coaches will Down ref for this tournament.

    * Looser of the last match of pool play of refs the 1st round of playoff (please check the bracket or with the court manager before you leave.).

    Facility Rules

    * NO OUTSIDE FOOD allowed in the facility.

    * No Tailgating.

    * Individuals entering the facility do so at their own risk.

    * The property owners, building tenants, event operators, and staff of Spike Sport Club assume no liability for any injuries or accidents which may occur.


    * Parking

    A lot of parking is available (Site picture below)  Please don’t block any access to the parking area.


    * Tournaments Day

    * NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR BEVERAGES ARE ALLOWED IN THE FACILITY,

    * No CHAIRS are permitted in the facility, (there are movie theater chairs available).

    * No Bags on Court Area or score tables, only against the wall.

    * Drinks, Hot Sandwiches, and Snacks, are available at the concession during the tournaments.

    * Players are allowed to bring water bottles.

    * No CUP drinks only plastic bottles with caps on are allowed inside the gym.

    * Please help us keep the gym clean and safe! Please have your teams pick up their trash from the bench areas and team areas.

    Please have your parents and team fans pick up and properly dispose of their trash.


    * Spike Sport Club Volleyball reserve the right to refuse play, admittance, and/or service to anyone

    * Violation of any rules will result in ejection from the facility and loss of privileges.

    * Conduct in the facility should be in the spirit of good sportsmanship both in the stands and on the courts.

    * Absolutely NO ALCOHOL is allowed anywhere in the Spike Sport Club or on its property.

    * Players or spectators with alcohol in their possession or judged by the staff to be under the influence of alcohol or any illegal substance will be asked to leave/remove immediately.

    * Children must be under direct adult supervision at all times. Children are not permitted to wander around the building without an adult with them. Children are not to use open courts. No balls may be used on the mezzanine level.

    * No smoking is allowed in the building or within 25 feet of the building.

    * No pets are allowed in the facility.

    * No food or beverages (other than non-breakable water bottles, sports drink in non-breakable containers or similar type athletic drinks) are permitted. This includes coffee and soda in any type of container.

    * Footwear for all players must be non-marking rubber-soled sports shoes.

    * Possession and/or the use of any type of weapon are strictly prohibited.

    * Any action resulting in the activation of a fire alarm under false pretenses shall result in a $400 fine against the individual/team/club whose member(s) or associated spectators are responsible.

Parking is not currently available at the other building of the business park along any other street. AVA is not responsible for the business parking.     FACILITY RULES

    For all events at F.A.S.T. Complex the doors will open 45 minutes before the event start time.

    No coolers of any kind will be permitted into the building.

    No OUTSIDE food or drink will be permitted into the building. You may eat food purchased from the F.A.S.T. Complex concession stand in the areas designated. Please pick up behind yourselves.

    Only players are permitted to bring in bottled water and sports drink. You may not bring in cases of any of the above items.

    No ball handling anywhere accept the volleyball courts.

    Please refrain from climbing or sitting on any volleyball equipment.

    No unsupervised children in the building.

    This is a nonsmoking building.

    Emergency exits are for emergencies only!

    Outside seating is allowed. Two rows of chairs may extend from the bleachers to the end line.  Please no chairs between the bleachers and the ref stand or behind player benches. You may not block entrances or exits. There must be a clear walkway in case of emergencies. If you are asked to move, please do so without any extra discussion.

    Any unattended items left in your vehicles will not be the responsibility of F.A.S.T. Complex or Houston Juniors.

    To ensure your car is not towed please make sure you have not parked in an area that says no parking. That is a fire zone.

    You may set up tables in the DESIGNATED area ONLY. Please throw all trash in the trash cans.

    F.A.S.T. Complex reserves the right to refuse service to anyone that does not comply with these rules.

    F.A.S.T. COMPLEX does reserve the right to cancel a scheduled event due to acts of nature, or security emergencies.  If cancellation occurs due to acts of nature, or security emergencies, there will be no refunds. If cancellation occurs as a result of default by the F.A.S.T. COMPLEX, all deposits will be refunded.

    Katy United Facility Rules

    The safety of our athletes, coaches, parents and event attendees is important to us. Please help us keep the gym a great space for everyone by adhering to the following facility rules:


    The doors will open 45 minutes before the event start time for players. Doors will open for spectators shortly after.


    There is no PA system for announcements in the gym


    SPECTATOR SEATING: Outside seating is allowed UPSTAIRS ONLY. All courtside seating is provided by KU in designated areas ONLY. Do Not sit inside of yellow/black taped areas. ALL KU provided, courtside chairs must stay behind the red line, so that chairs are up against the walls. This allows us to provide an ADA approved walkway space.


    No cameras or chairs on the playing surface. These must stay on the concrete area surrounding the courts.


    No coolers of any kind will be permitted into the building


    No outside food or drink (coffee included) besides water. Please visit our concessions or pop-up restaurant upstairs.


    NO GUM


    No ball handling anywhere except the volleyball courts


    Athletes and staff ONLY on the playing surface


    Do not climb or sit on any Katy United equipment


    No unsupervised children in the building


    Smoking, vaping and tobacco use are prohibited


    Alcohol is not permitted

    Tickets to volleyball tournaments at Texas Tornados are $5.00 for adults, and $3 for Seniors and Children.


    YOU MAY NOT PARK IN THE FOLLOWING AREAS:

    No Parking under the Porte’ Cache at the Daycare in front of our building (their CLEANING CREW NEEDS TO BE ABLE TO ACCESS THEIR BUILDING).

    No Parking at Goforth Park (They lock their gates at dusk),  

    Do not block or park on the corners of the entrance/exit to the dispatch center behind the Texas Tornados Building. (they need to be able to get their ambulance out).

    Do not park in marked handicapped or fire lane spaces, or create your own parking space (non-marked) and block other vehicles in, or you will be towed at the owner's expense.

    Do not park at the church across the street.

    Please don't park in any surrounding neighborhoods. Those areas are reserved for the homeowners and their guests.

    Do not park at the Assisted Living building across the street.

    Do not park in any of the reserved parking spaces at Texas Tornados. We have parents who paid for these parking spots.

          YOU MAY PARK in the FOLLOWING AREAS:


    Tornados parking lot

    Wheat Cross Drive in the allowed parking areas. Please pay attention to the street signs of when and where you can park and watch out for pedestrians.  This is a busy street.

    Trucks or SUVs can park by the building exit and street sign in the gravel area. 

    In the parking spaces at the daycare, but do not block their entrance into the building. 

    Please do not leave any valuables in your car. Please put them in your trunk or bring them inside with you. Texas Tornados WILL NOT BE LIABLE for any negligence or damage to your vehicle.

    No coolers, outside food, or drinks are allowed inside the facility when the snack bar is open; per health department requirements, Players' are allowed to have their water bottles with a sealed lid. 

    We ask that all players hang their backpacks on the wall to free up the walkways for seating and emergencies.

    Please utilize the courts at the agreed-upon times.  Only players and coaches will be allowed on the wood courts. 

    Spectators are also kindly asked to leave the playing area when their child is finished playing, or their team is officiating to create enough space for the next team's parents to sit courtside. Thank you! 

    All service animals must have proper paperwork to be allowed in the building.

    All children attending the tournament must always be supervised by their parent/legal guardian. Texas Tornados assumes no responsibility for injuries due to lack of supervision.

    The event's designated person must be present and available at all reserved times.

    Report all spills or cleanups immediately to a Texas Tornado manager on duty.

    No alcoholic beverages are allowed inside or outside the facility unless special permission is granted.  If serving alcohol, then you must provide a permit and security.

    We reserve the right to remove anyone using profanity, not complying with Texas Tornados Training Facility rules, or displaying abusive behavior from the premises. 

    Designated walkways inside the facility must be kept clear for emergencies.

    You must purchase a ticket to be allowed into the facility. Tickets are available online at www.2gotix.com/texas-tornados/tickets/texas-tornados/ and www.texastornados.org or are sold at the door. Event Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children under 12 and senior citizens.

    Spectators who purchase an online ticket will be allowed into the building before cash-paying customers. Therefore, we strongly encourage buying tickets early to make entry smoother.

    Information about KBHCC Parking:


    KBHCCD's Parking Garage is located at 650 S. Griffin Street, Dallas, TX 75202


    Entrances to the garages are located at the intersection of S. Griffin and Memorial Streets. ∙ Normal Parking Garage hours of operation are 6:00 am – 6:00 pm

    Staffing/Cashier hours are adjusted accordingly, based upon event hours of operation. The garage is equipped with automated pay-in-lane machines for after-hour access.

    Garage Parking is $15.00 per day, no in/out privileges, with payment due upon entry

    KBHCCD has 3 surface parking lots: Lot C, Lot D, and Lot E. Surface lot pricing varies by location. For more information on parking at the KBHCC Dallas, click here!

    Please review the following policies and processes to make sure the ticketing goes as smoothly as possible.


    In order to increase the safety and security of our attendees, we are requiring that all purchasers enter in their team’s USAV Team Code.


    Every Spectator must have a TEAM CODE to purchase a ticket for the event.

    Each club is responsible for sharing TEAM CODE information with Spectators to purchase a ticket. The TEAM CODE is your USAV Team Code (i.e. g18ecvbs1ke)

    Plan ahead and ask your Coach or Club Director for the TEAM CODE today!

    All tickets must be purchased in advance, or on your device. There will be no on-site sales or cash sales.

    Child/Senior Weekend Pass – $25

    Ticketing Policies

    All spectators, 6 years and over must have a paid ticket to enter.  Children under 6 are free.  Children between 6 and 18 and Seniors 65+ qualify for a Child/Sr pass.

    Daily tickets are good for any of the 3 days of the event, however once they are scanned in one day, they are not valid on any other days of the event.

    Tickets are assigned to an individual.  Once that ticket is scanned, the name on the ticket cannot be changed  All Adults must show a valid photo ID each time they enter along with the QR Code.

    Players do not need to purchase tickets.

     

    Ticket Sale and Refunds

    Tickets will go on sale the Tuesday prior to each week at 8 am.  You can only purchase tickets for your week.


    Before attending, please read the Spectator Code of Conduct and the Prohibited Items list.
